Dear reader, whatever I am writing now does not link with the other posts. Enjoy.
2 Peter 3:8
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
When the Bible says 'do not forget', please 'do not forget'! Now this means that with every thousand years we spend here, it's actually like a day in the Lord's eyes. And everyday someone stops short of believing the truth, it's like a thousand years to the Lord. He is waiting, and waiting. This shows that the Lord is very patient with us, for he does not want anyone to perish but to have everlasting life. But the patience of the Lord is wearing thin.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.
This is the rapture. What is the rapture? It is the changing of our earthly bodies into heavenly bodies in a twinkling of an eye. So what will happen? Very simple. It is as written,"we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air."Then we shall be with the Lord for a very, very long time. Forever. When you read the Book of Revelations, you will understand that there will be a marriage supper of the Lamb. We will feast with the Lord in the air. How wonderful that is! As the Lord was risen from the dead, so will those who are in Christ.
Hosea 6:1-2
Come, and let us return to the LORD;For He has torn, but He will heal us;He has stricken, but He will bind us up.After two days He will revive us;On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.
Now this shows us who the Lord is talking about. 'He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up.' All these promises are for Christians. For those who believe in our Lord. What about the two days and the third day? Now as I've mentioned above, a thousand years is like one day in the Lord's eyes. Two days times one thousand is two thousand years. 'After two days He will revive us;On the third day He will raise us up.' Doesn't 'He will raise us up' sound familiar? It certainly means the rapture! Now the interesting part is when it will take place. Do you want to know when it would?
"After two days He will revive us;On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. " After two days(two thousand years of his death), He will revive us. On the third day, (the period after AD 1999), He will raise us up. Hallelujah! He will raise us up! Alright, if this is not specific enough, I will show you more. There is a significance in the phrase 'the third day'. Do you realise that Jesus was raised on the third day? Do you know that Jonah was spat from the big fish's belly on the third day? What is the significance of the third day? Let's look at this passage.
Mark 16:1-2
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb.
When was Jesus raised from the dead? On the third day. Mary Magdalene went to anoint Jesus' body 'very early, just after sunrise' on the third day of His death. Do you see it now? VERY EARLY, JUST AFTER SUNRISE! We will also be raised in the same way! Very early of the third day. Are we living in the third day? From AD 1 to AD 2007, 3007 years have passed. We're in the third day period. And in which part of the period? The early part of the period.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, I urge you in the name of the Lord to hope for this blessed hope. Like Paul says, "It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. Christians, look out for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy. The Lord wants us to be ready for His coming. We are His bride, and He is our bridegroom. We will be caught up in the air for the marriage with our beloved bridegroom, our Lord Jesus. Let's live with hope, and look forward to this day. God bless you.
