The sign of wars and rumors of wars

Everytime I talk about a prophecy, please refer to Matthew 24. Let's continue.

Did you know that there have been approximately fifteen thousand wars in recorded human history? But the wars the twentieth century in particular have been far bloodier than any century that preceded it. Far more people have died in wars during the past hundred years.

Brutal ethnic confrontations have erupted around the globe- in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, India, in the territories of the former Soviet Union, and elsewhere- and more of these simmering hot spots seem about to break out in open war.

Yet how did Jesus tell us to respond to such reports?

"See that you are not troubled,"He said, And why should we not be troubled? The two reasons are found in Matthew 24:6.

1."All these things must come to pass"
2."But the end is not yet."

Obviously, wars are not 'the sign' of the end! The fact is, however, Christ did inject the subject of war into His answer to His disciples' question "What will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" This can only mean that 'the sign' had to be a special kind of war.
