Possible Scenarios for Temple Rebuilding

1. The temple could be rebuilt sometime between Russia's attack on Israel described in Ezekiel 38-39 and the beginning of the Tribulation.

2. The Antichrist could negotiate an agreement between Israel and the remnants of the Arab world to relocate their sacred mosque else where.

3. One provision of the 7-year covenant(Daniel 9:27) between the Antichrist and Israel might permit the Jews to rebuild their temple.

However, the Antichrist will not fully honour that covenant but will break it in the middle of the seven years, desecrate the new temple, then launch the most anti- Semitic crusade in history.

I saith unto all ye readers of my blog: The Lord cometh quickly!

Yes indeed. The very fact that preparations are underway to construct a Third Temple proves it's not going to be a hundred years or any more than that for the coming of the Lord! SO what exactly are those preparations? Follow your OOing eyes of excitement down this post and you'll know ;D

Anyone interested in end-time events has his eyes on the temple project. Ever since the Jews took temporary possession of the temple site after teh Six Day War in 1967 (very significant event), there have been rumors that various groups have een working clandestinely to prepare all the materials it needs--from the robes of the priests to the tapestry in the temple. There have been reports that a detailed model of the temple has been traveling throughout the United States to raise money for the project.

One of the ingredients necessary for reactivating Old Testament-style temple worship is the ashes of a red heifer(a young cow that is sacrificed and whose ashes are used for the ritual purification of people who came into contact with a corpse. [Numbers 19]). Guess what, against all odds, a red heifer was born on Friday, April 5th, 2002, just the time when prophetic events described in the Bible are beginning to come to pass. What a perfect timing! With the cloning technology mankind now possess, it has become possible to mass produce this red heifer for the ritualistic cleansing. With that, one of the major obstacles in the rebuilding of the temple has been removed. Now lies one very immediate and inconvenient obstacle: two Islamic structures, namely the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, are built on top of the Temple Mount. If these structures are removed, it could instigate fresh international conflicts.

The Third Temple Rebuilt

Oh yes, this has everything to do with the 7 year tribulation.

In the Olivet discourse Jesus said, "So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—(Matt 24:15)


Since it clearly says here 'spoken of through the prophet Daniel', let us turn to the book of Daniel.


Daniel 9:27


He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.' In the middle of the 'seven' he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing of the temple he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. "


In this context, 'seven' means a seven-year period.


Daniel 11:31


"His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation.


The apostle Paul said it this way:" Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for (that day will not come) until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

The apostle John wrote this:" I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, "Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the worshipers there. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for 42 months. (Rev 11:1-2)

Both Daniel and John place this awful event in the middle of the Tribulation, at the start of what our Lord called "Great Tribulation". Cleary, if the temple is to be desecrated at that point, it must be built earlier. When the Antichrist commits the ultimate blasphemy by appearing in the temple to declare that he is God, the real Lord of heaven responds by inflicting on the Antichrist's earth the worst judgments in history--the Great Tribulation.

RAPTURE

One of the most compelling prophetic events in the Bible is called the 'rapture' of the church. It is taught clearly in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, where the apostle Paul provides us with most of the available details:

Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words.

Whenever there is a 'fall asleep' in the New Testament, it always refers to dying. As those who believe in the New Covenant will be risen again, their death is merely a temporal sleep until the trumpet of the Lord is sounded and they will 'awake' from their sleep.

Amen! We will be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and be with him forever and ever. But how do you really explain the term 'caught up'? Is it a slow- going process of transformation of our bodies or is it a lightning- quick disappearance? We shall find out in the story of Enoch in the Old Testament(OT).

Enoch in the OT provides an illustration of this transforming experience. The Bible says "Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away"(Genesis 5:24) A day is coming, soon, when all believers will be transformed like the godly Enoch, whose earthly body was suddenly made fit to be in heaven with God.

1 Corinthians 15:51-53
Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

Wonder why God changes your body before meeting him in the air? Because, obviously, some of us are scared of heights -.-

Russia, a keyplayer in Bible Prophecy

Russian history date back some 2000 years or more before Christ. They received scant mention in history until Peter the Great in the 18th Century tried unsuccessfully to pull the people together and make them a cohesive power. After a series of political upheaval in Russia, which included the changing of names to Soviet Union and then back to Russia, she came to be what we know her as Russia today, allied with Muslim nations as prophesied by Ezekiel.



Ezekiel 38:5-6



Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops—the many nations with you.



As explained in one of my previous posts, Persia, Cush and Put were ancient regions that now occupy the Muslim countries. The far north, with other substantial evidence mentioned in that post, represents Russia. This verse seems to reveal a very convincing and shuddering truth. Russia is allied with Muslim nations, as recent news suggests. Especially with Iran, the country which called Israel names and demanded the eradication of Israel's existence on the face of the Earth.

The historic meeting focused on Iran's nuclear programmeRussia's President Vladimir Putin has offered qualified support for Iran's nuclear programme on a visit to Tehran.
Mr Putin told journalists that "peaceful nuclear activities must be allowed" and cautioned against using force to resolve the dispute over Iran.
But he was evasive when asked whether the Bushehr nuclear plant Russia is building would be finished on time or if Moscow would supply nuclear fuel.
Iran wants Russian help in its dispute with the West over its nuclear aims.
Up to now Moscow has blocked any new UN sanctions, saying it wants to enable the UN's nuclear watchdog, the IAEA, to work with Iran on clearing up outstanding issues.
But Moscow is seeking Iranian compromise over the issue, says the BBC's Jon Leyne in Tehran.
Iran 'peaceful'
Mr Putin met Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for talks after the two men joined the leaders of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan for a summit of the leaders of nations surrounding the Caspian Sea.

Russia is helping to complete Bushehr's nuclear reactor
Heavy security measures were in place amid reports of an alleged plot to kill Mr Putin - reports Mr Putin has shrugged off.
At a news conference, Mr Putin pointed out that the Caspian Sea leaders had signed a declaration which "expressed the idea that peaceful nuclear activities must be allowed".
In the declaration, the leaders also pledged not to allow their territory "for waging aggression or other military action against any of the parties".
Azerbaijan - a US ally - has repeatedly said it would not allow American troops to use its territory to attack neighbouring countries.
Washington has refused to rule out using force against Iran, which it accuses of seeking to acquire nuclear weapons - a charge which Tehran vehemently denies.
Later on Tuesday Mr Putin also held talks with Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The Russian president said Moscow had an interest in a "strong Iran" and that he wanted deeper ties with the country, state television reported.
Bushehr difficulties
But Mr Putin was evasive about some aspects of Russia's support for Iran.
He refused to confirm whether Moscow would supply the Iranian nuclear plant at Bushehr with nuclear fuel once it is complete, or say whether the plant's construction would be finished speedily.

'Plot' overshadows Berlin trip
Mr Putin blamed legal and financial difficulties for the delays that have long dogged the completion of the $1bn building programme undertaken by Russia.

His careful stance suggested Russia is attempting to retain firm ties with Iran without angering the United States, commentators suggest.
It is not clear quite how much support Mr Putin is prepared to give Iran in its showdown with the West.

Mr Putin will certainly be calling for more flexibility from the Iranian government over the nuclear issue and no-one should forget the deep legacy of suspicion that exists between Russia and Iran, our correspondent says.

"It is futile to frighten Iran and its people - they are not scared," Mr Putin said before the visit.
It is the first visit to Tehran by a Kremlin leader since World War II.





DO YOU THINK FOR ONE MOMENT IRAN WOULD BE PEACCCEEFUL WITH THEIR NUCLEAR ACTIVTIES AFTER ITS LEADER MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD ASKED FOR ISRAEL'S DESTRUCTION?



Think people, think. Anyway, to have Russia help Iran is already a very big clue to what role Russia would play in the invasion of Israel, as prophesied by Ezekiel. Even some of the nuclear scientists working in the Iran's nuclear facilities are Russians.



Of course, there're other evidences which suggest Russia's allying with the Muslim nations such as the marked increase of arms sale to Muslim nations etc. All these seem to point to the direction of a war against Israel joined by Russia and the Muslim nations. More posts coming up. Keep in touch.

The Global Financial Crisis

Alright. Here's a new post. What does the current Global Financial Crisis have to do with the Bible? Prophecy, specifically? Oh my oh my, I can't tell you that it's only the beginning of the One World Order long foretold by the Bible which the Antichrist will take advantage of.

Just recently, the G-7 held a summit to discuss about how to to prevent a second such crisis. And most of the solutions to this crisis revolve around establishing a global monetary system. This would ensure that an impending crisis will be easily contained.

So what has this got to do with prophecy? The Bible says the Antichrist will take over the world and control the buying and selling of food one day. Through this setting up of the one world monetary system, it gives the antichrist, after he's seated at the helm, swift authority to ban people without the mark of the beast(the mark of the antichrist) either on the forehead or the arm from buying or selling food.

In conclusion, current world events are creating platforms for the final war to be staged, not against a nation, but against the Antichrist. The battle of Armaggedon. Believe before it's too late, my friend. ;D

One more thing, this is just a recent news. FRESH.

European Commission President Manuel Barroso, who also took part in the talks, said: "We need a new global financial order."

Seeeee! Global financial order! This world will unite one day and fall under the hands of a dictator, the antichrist. Look out for more in the news!

God's Judgement On The Invading Hordes

It is very clear in these few verses about how God will punish those who wage war against Israel.

Ezekiel 38:19-22

19 In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel. 20 The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts of the field, every creature that moves along the ground, and all the people on the face of the earth will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall will fall to the ground. 21 I will summon a sword against Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD. Every man's sword will be against his brother. 22 I will execute judgment upon him with plague and bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops and on the many nations with him.

God will use the sword of brother against brother as a weapon of war against the enemies of Israel. When God sent Gideon to destroy the Philistines, Gideon commanded his meager fighting force of three hundred men to sound the trumpets and to break the pitchers. The Philistines turned their swords against each other in massive confusion and slaughtered one another. ( Please Please Please read on Judges 7)

God will cause confusion to come among them as they turn and fight each other, slaughtering each other in history's greatest demonstration of friendly fire.

Now, have you ever wondered why are the two cities, Sodom and Gomorrah so famous? Their fame arises from the fact that they no longer exist. These are the two cities where God poured out fire and brimstone because of their great sin and iniquity, and they were obliterated from the earth. God will repeat history, and destroy the enemy nations. Amen.

A message to all: Watch out in the news for the two baddies: Russia and Iran.

Gog and Magog: Who or What are they?

Ezekiel 38:1-9, 15-16, 18-19, 21-23



Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal, and prophesy against him, and say, ' Thus says the Lord God:" Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the prince of rosh, Meshech, and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks into your jaws, and lead you out, with all your army, horses, and horsemen, all splendidly clothed, a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords. "Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya are with them, all of them with shield and helmet; Gomer and all its troops; the house of Togarmah from the FAR NORTH and all its troops--many people are with you.



"Prepare yourself and be ready, you and all your companies that are gather about you; and be a guard for them. After many days you will be visited. In the latter years you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had been long desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely. You will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you....



" Then you will come from your place out of the FAR NORTH, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a might army. You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations many know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes....



"And it will come to pass at the same time, when Gog comes against the land of Israel," says the Lord God, "that My fury will show in My face. For in My jealousy and in the fire of My warth i have spoken: 'Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel....I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains,' says the Lord God. "Every man's sword will be against his brother. And I will bring him to judgement with pestilence and bloodshed; I will rain down on him, on his troops, and on the many peoples who are with him, flooding rain, great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus I will magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. then they shall know that i am the Lord."'"



etymologically, the Gog and Magog of Ezekiel 38 and 39 can only mean modern- day Russia. "Magog was the second son of Japheth who, according to Josephus, the great historian, settled north of the Black Sea. Tubal and Meshech were the fifth and sixth sons of Japheth, whose descendants settled south of the Black Sea." These tribes intermarried and became known as Magog. Several historians point out they were also know as the Scythians and referred to them as "a barbarous people."



In Ezekiel 39:2, God says to Gog, "I will turn you around and lead you on, bringing you up from the far NORTH, and bring you against the mountains of Israel." All Bible directions are given in relation to Israel. "North" means north of Israel. Any map will show that Russia is indeed the far north of Israel.



What is even more remarkable is that Gog's allies--Persia(old name for Iran), Libya, Gomer (thought to be Turkey) Ethiopia, and Togarmah--are all Arab Muslim countries today and they 'just happen' to be Russia's faithful allies. Their binding, overriding, passionate, and common hatred is Israel. Here are some interesting facts for you all to ponder on. Russia and Iran are collaborating on a uranium enrichment program. With this technology, a nuclear bomb can be produced. It is a WOMD(Weapon of Mass Destruction). Blooming in the Desert

Which desert? Let's take a look.

The desert and the parched land will be glad; the wilderness will rejoice and blossom. Like the crocus, it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy....Water will gush forth in the wilderness and streams in the desert. the burning sand will become a pool, the thirsty ground bubbling springs. In the haunts where jackals once lay, grass and reeds and papyrus will grow. (Isaiah 35:1-2, 6-7)

I will make rivers flow on barren heights, and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water, and the parched ground into springs. I will put in the desert the cedar and the acacia, the myrtle and the olive. I will set pines in the wasteland, the fir and the cypress together, so that people may see and know, may consider and understand, that the hand of the Lord has done this, that the Holy One of Israel has created it. (Isaiah 41:18-20)

When I read these two portions of the Scripture, my heart just exclaimed a vehement 'Amen'. How remarkable this would be, that the Holy Land of Israel will burst into bloom, water will gush forth. God is determined to show the world that He has not forgotten about Israel, nor has He taken His eye off the land of promise.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. (Isaiah 43:19)

In our time I have seen several areas of the world turn from fertile grassland and productive farmland into barren, scorched wilderness; the Sahara Desert in northern Africa, for example, continues year by year to swallow ever more acreage. But when was the last itme we saw a desert turn into a lush garden? That, however, is exactly what God has promised to do in the land of Israel!

While I believe God will accomplish this great feat during the reign of the millennial kingdom, already we see hints of what He has in mind. In the years since Israel became a nation, rainfall has increased remarkably throughout Palestine. As a consequence, the nation has produced crops of astounding proportions. In fact, Israel has fruit and vegetables larger than those grown in the famed Imperial Valley of California!

From these little signs, we can see what God will be doing in the future, which is the desert of Holy Land turning into a landscape of rivers, springs and life. In the next post, I shall discuss about a disastrous sneak attack on Israel. Here's a clue: It'd be from Russia and her gang of Arab nations. =)

The Great Departing, Another Prophetic Event That's Taking Place

Another passage for you all beloved readers to ponder on:

Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report of letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come UNTIL THE REBELLION OCCURS.

2 Thessolonians 2:1-3, (NIV)

The apostle Paul is saying that before the day of the Lord, there will first be a 'rebellion', or a 'departing.' The Greek word translated 'rebellion' is apostasia, the source word for our English term 'apostasy'. It means a defection from the truth or a departure from that which was given at the first. The plain meaning of this prophecy is that before Christ returns, many who once were entrusted with the truth(which is God's plain plan of salvation through His Son) will depart from it.

Robert L. Thomas, writing in The Expositor's Bible Commentary, explains that the word apostasia "points to a deliberate abandonment of a former professed position...After the catching away of those in Christ(refer to 1 Thess. 4:17), all who are truly in him will be gone. Conditions will be ripe for people, especially those who call themselves Christian but are not really such, to turn their backs on God in what they do as well as in what they already have in thought. Then their insincerity will demonstrate itself outwardly. This worldwide anti- God movement will be so universal as to earn for itself a special designation: 'the apostasy'-i.e., the climax of the increasing apostate tendencies evident before the rapture of the church."

To supplement this passage from Thess., in 1 Timothy 4:1-2, Paul adds these additional details:

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron.

The word translated "depart" means "to withdraw, become apostate."

Subsequently, 1 Timothy 4:3-4 writes,

For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their wars away from the truth and turn aside to myths.

Isn't this so true in present society? Many of the false religions and cults of history have grown out of deceptions or 'apostate' branches of Christianity. Through the centuries whenever the church permitted theological error to creep in, God raised up reformers to call His people back to the foundational doctrines of Scripture. Or He raised up others who led movements to separate themselves according to the Scriptures; that is how many of our present denominations were formed:Pentecostal, Baptist, Bible- Presbyterian etc.

Take America as an example. Today it is generally believed 75-80% of Americans identify themselves as christians. With these facts it must be concluded that America is going apostate. Abortion was legalised in 1973. Homosexuality has become the norm. Divorce, murder are becoming more rampant. What's serious is false gospels, false Christ's and false prophets are so common in American churches. But all these are just a prelude to the final apostasy. They are only preparing the way for the ultimate antichrist who will set himself up in the temple and declare himself to be God. You might say he is preparing his followers to accept his ultimate lie. I' ll elaborate on this in my later posts. Keep you updated!

How long is a generation?

Yes, indeed. How long is a generation? We shall look at 4 verses taken from the Word of God, which is the truth and light in a world of darkness.


40 years - Numbers 32:13 "So the LORD'S anger burned against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the entire generation of those who had done evil in the sight of the LORD was destroyed.

70 years - Psalm 90:10 As for the days of our life, they contain seventy years, or if due to strength, eighty years, yet their pride is but labor and sorrow; for soon it is gone and we fly away.

120 years - Genesis 6:3 Then the Lord said, "My spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he is also flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.

100 years - Genesis 15:12-16 "Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years. But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions. You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a good old age. In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure."

Considering the above passage, a generation is 100 years as it writes the 301th year as the starting of the fourth generation. If this is not the case, the word 'fourth' would not be used...

In my previous post, I mentioned that the generation that saw Israel returned to their homeland will not pass away until everything is fulfilled. Israel came back in 1948, but they officially became a nation in 1967. From this, we can take either 1948 or 1967 and add the years to it. Either case, 1948 plus 100 is 2048. 1967 plus 100 is 2067. I am not saying that Christ would return exactly in one of these years. Nowadays, people are living longer. More men and women are living into their 90s. So we can never be certain how long a generation is. But we can be sure of one thing: Our generation has more reason to believe He could return during our lifetime than any generation preceding us. Hope you understand me. =)

We are the Generation!

Let's take a look at this excerpt from Matt 24.

"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

A fig tree is a picture of Israel. Since Israel's independence in 1948, the Jews have been gradually gathered in the Holy Land. This fulfills what Jesus said, 'its leaves come out'. Jesus prophesied that when this happens, we are in the season of the bodily redemption, the Rapture. He weighed down this promise with an even unmistakable statement. "This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened." Was He referring to our generation? Absolutely! The generation that saw the Jews make a comeback will not pass away until the Tribulation and the Glorious Appearing(2nd coming of Christ) come to pass. In my next post, we shall discuss how long a generation is biblically, defined by the Word of God. I'm looking forward to that! =)

"It is near, even at the doors."

Let's take a look at Matt 24:32-34

Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. In other words, when all the signs mentioned appear - WWI, famines, pestilence, earthquakes, and Israel becoming a nation - you know that Jesus' return is close at hand.
